We caught up with your Student Experience Officer, Pasha, to find out what’s being happening at College this term, and what you have to look forward to.
What we have been up to…
27 February – Football Tournament
Student footballers from across East Kent Colleges Group came together to compete in a tournament at Ramsgate FC. Organised by Darren, the Student Experience Office at EKC Folkestone College. The six teams played their top players in the hope of taking home the tournament trophy. The students involved had a brilliant time playing the other Colleges.

6 March – World Book Day
For World Book Day you many have come across some witches and wizards as the College celebrated with a Harry Potter themed day. Students made an entrance dressed as their favourite characters and enjoyed using the green screen to take immersive photos. Jellybeans were also enjoyed whilst completing Potter related activities.

8 March – International Women’s Day
To celebrate International Women’s Day, students were given the opportunity to send postcards to women across the College who inspire them. There was also the opportunity for students to make their very own International Women’s Day badge to wear with pride.

19 March – Natwest money saving talks
We were lucky to have a representative from Natwest Bank come into the College to lead conversations about saving money. The learners were introduced to many budgeting tips and tricks to keep that bank balance looking healthy.

2 April – Easter celebrations
The SU have planned an Easter egg hunt using 3D printed bunnies from our Computing and Digital students. The winners of the hunt will receive a chocolate Easter egg!
Watch out for…
